Embellishing Dust
Just like embellishing tones are used to enhance a piece of music or impasto brings thick layers of texture to a canvas, Fable & Canon’s Embellishing Dust enhances your baths, foot soaks, and hand soaks!
This shimmery, foaming bath salt has been created specifically to add a little extra flair to your baths, using scents that smell great but still play very well with others. The initial inspiration for this product came from too many baths where I wanted to add on to a bath bomb gorgeously scented in something like “caramel kettle corn and slushies at an abandoned carnival, with the scent of lost childhood lingering in the distance,” but realizing all I had on hand were equally complex scents like “sandalwood, maple bacon donuts, vetiver, and that roll-on body glitter you wore to the Hilary Duff concert in 7th grade.” Sometimes you just want a product that will bolster a note you already have in your bath and love, instead of introducing a whole new vibe to it. So, instead of feeling similarly flummoxed by your options, just sprinkle some Cotton Candy Embellishing Dust into your tub and you’re all set to enjoy the abandoned carnival, without conflicting scents!
Beyond providing lovely but simple notes that will layer well with your other bath products, Embellishing Dust serves a second purpose for us as it allows us to play around with new fragrances and ideas. If you particularly enjoy a scent, please let us know!
When we run out of a variation, it is not guaranteed that we’ll be able to restock it since one of the primary goals for us is to use up components we’re experimenting with without creating waste. But we are always happy to consider reordering the components in the future and can certainly bring back particularly popular ones.
Please note that Embellishing Dusts with a high vanillin content may occasionally turn darker over time. This is perfectly normal for vanillin and does not mean there is anything wrong with your product. (We’ve considered adding a vanillin stabilizer to prevent this from happening, but it would mean reducing the proportion of other components in our recipe, and we like them all too much to do that at this time. 😊)

We will note if any fragrance components have been discontinued; if they haven't, you can let us know if you'd like a scent to return and we can look into bringing it back! You can also email us and ask if we have any fragrance on hand for a custom order.
